Supporters


Persija Jakarta's supporters call themselves The Jakmania. They are amongst Indonesia's most passionate and fanatical supporters. The growth of Jakmania can be felt both inside and outside the stadium — now there are upward of 60,000 supporters at each home match. There are more than 100,000 registered members. A registered member is given a special T-shirt, which has the words: Gue Anak Jakarta, which means I am a Jakarta kid. It helps new members identify themselves as Jakartans. After a year, they are given a T-shirt that says “Satu Jakarta Satu,” or One Jakarta One. “They have to agree there is only one Jakarta, . Then after two years of membership, another T-shirt with “Jakmania 12,” to represent the twelfth player of Persija, is issued to supporters. After three years of active membership, they will wear a different T-shirt according to the theme of the year was founded with a mentality of “the Ultras,” a category of football supporters.
